Our Travels

2017

We began our journey June 9th. We left Peterborough, New Hampshire and headed south. After spending some time with my dad in Crystal River, Florida, we traveled to our first workamping job. We spent nearly 5 months in Lone Oak, Texas before returning to Crystal River.

2018

Our goal of working in Alaska was realized in 2018. We left Crystal River on March 28th and took the really, really long way to Moose Pass, Alaska. We visited a total of 15 national parks/monuments/preserves, plus countless state/city parks.

2019

2019 found us working at Lost Falls Campground in Black River Falls, Wisconsin for the summer, returning to visit family in New Hampshire and finally back to Florida to sell Christmas trees again for Hayes Farms.

2020

The year that almost wasn’t. Our “plan” had been to work at a campground in New Hampshire for the summer then, as you all know, our plans were hijacked by Covid. We took on selling fireworks for TNT for the 4th of July and finally hit the road in July.

2021

Another year with its trials. Waldo suffered a major breakdown, stranding us in Peoria, Illinois. After 3 weeks, we were able to resume our plans to visit with a dear friend in Utah before returning to Florida again for fireworks. The second half of the year would bring new friends and favorite places.

2022

Our adventures included time with friends in Quartzsite, Arizona before knocking off a bucket list item – a month at Big Bend National Park. Blogging took a back seat to living our adventures instead of documenting them.

2023

National Parks, family reunions and a wedding topped the list in 2023.

2024

It promises to be a fantastic year of travel. I only have 2 states left to visit. Steve has a few more than I do, but one thing we have learned is areas of the country we love, areas we are tired of visiting and areas we hope never to venture into again. I am going to try to get back into writing on a semi-regular basis. I do tend to stay fairly active of FB and IG.
